Eisenhower HS Wins Second Place at UIL Academic Meet

The events challenge students to think critically and creatively in more than 20 categories.

Hundreds of students recently competed in the District 16 UIL Academic Meet. Eisenhower High School medaled in several events.

Students compete in many different events ranging from mathematics to literature. These activities complement the academic curriculum. The events are designed to motivate students as they acquire higher levels of knowledge. UIL Academic Meets provide students with the opportunity to show mastery of specific skills. The events challenge students to think critically and creatively. They have to exhibit much more than knowledge and comprehension.

Eisenhower-HS-UIL-District-16-Academic-Meet-Numbers-Sense-TeamThe competition held at Wunsche Senior High School in Spring ISD was intense. Eisenhower High School came in second behind Westfield High School (Spring) with total points compiled. Eisenhower racked up 359 points to Westfield’s 361.
