Booker Uniform DriveAldine ISD Trustee Dr. Kimberley Booker poses with JROTC cadets from Aldine High School and Davis High School who helped organize a uniform give away for Aldine ISD students who were affected by Hurricane Harvey on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at the M.O. Campbell Educational Center. Dr. Booker held a uniform drive Sept. 6, 7 and 9 at Nimitz High School.

The Aldine community responded in outstanding fashion donating 850 girls’ shirts, 750 girls’ pants, 400 boys’ shirts and 700 boys’ pants. In addition, the drive collected 921 new undergarments, 174 girls’ socks and 579 boys’ socks. The community also donated 40 gift bags filled with school supplies and another 792 bags of toiletries. Dr. Booker said 1,800 uniforms were distributed to Aldine ISD parents at the Sept. 26 event. Counselors from a number of Aldine ISD schools and AISD students joined the JROTC cadets with organizing and setting up the uniform give away on Sept. 26.
