The Aldine ISD Northside Transportation Center will be constructed on a 62-acre site near the intersection of FM 1960 and Aldine-Westfield Rd. This project was approved as a part of a $798 million bond package passed by voters in November, 2015. This new facility includes a 32,000 square-foot metal building with offices, multi-purpose rooms, dispatch, 6 fully equipped maintenance bays, a fueling station and a bus wash facility, radio communication tower, secured access and parking for an ultimate capacity of 300 buses. The construction of this project was approved at the September 2016 Board of Trustees meeting.

The site clearing started in October 2016 and is approximately 85% completed. The building pad excavation started at the beginning of November and is approximately 30% completed. The detention pond excavation started the first week of November 2016.
