Aldine ISD Schools Surprised With Over $14,000 From Chick-fil-A

Several Aldine ISD schools recently competed in a Chick-fil-A Aldine education giveaway contest. Schools in the Aldine community competed against other campuses during the Spirit Week contest. Three Aldine ISD campuses were awarded the most spirited and received a reward valued over $14,000.

Orange Grove and Thompson elementary schools each received a special Chick-fil-A giveaway basket valued over $3,000. This included school supplies, Chick-fil-A catering, free “ice dream” coupons for each student and a visit from the Chick-fil-A cow.

“This is our community and we are here to serve,” Jon Goolsby, Chick-Fil-A Aldine Operator, said. “I believe we have an incredible platform to make a larger impact in our community and in the schools.”

Over 100,000 social media impressions supported Aldine High School during the contest.

Aldine Senior High School staff and students were surprised by Chick-fil-A during their homecoming pep rally. Goolsby presented an oversized check valued over $10,000. This included school supplies, catering credit, free Chick-fil-A sandwiches or nuggets for each student and more.

Goolsby also recognized Aldine junior, Jayden Payne for his heroic efforts to save a woman and child from flood waters during Tropical Storm Imelda. Payne was awarded 52 free Chick-fil-A meals during the pep rally.
