Staff Assignments Announced at July 30 Board of Trustees Meeting

Aldine ISD Superintendent Dr. LaTonya M. Goffney announced several staff assignments during the July 30 Board meeting.

• Perla Lane was named Executive Director of Facilities, Planning and Construction after serving as Director of Facilities, Planning and Construction.
• Robin Willis was named Principal of Houston Academy after serving as an Assistant Principal at Stovall Middle School.
• Ebony Brown was named Principal of Magrill Primary School after serving as an Assistant Principal at De Santiago Primary School.
• Myra Bell was named Principal of Francis Elementary School after serving as Principal at Long Academy Las Americas.
• Jared Lee was named Principal of Impact Leadership Academy after serving as an Associate Principal at Bammel Middle School in Spring ISD.
• Dr. Joshua Gobert was named Principal of Stovall Primary School after serving as an Assistant Principal at Jones Primary School.
• Dr. Torrance Brooks was named Principal of Jones Middle School after serving as an Assistant Principal at Eisenhower Ninth Grade School.

Board Approves Action Items

During the July 30 Board meeting, Aldine ISD Trustees approved the following action items:

• Approved the minutes from previous board meetings
• Approved the consent agenda
• Approved the terms of the Grant with the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation and Aldine ISD K-8 Literacy Implementation Grant #R-23-24013
• Approved to amend the ADSY (Additional Day School Year) 2024-25 calendar
• Approved a resolution for staff pay during the district’s closure from July 8 through July 14
• Approved single contracts and purchases of $100,000 and greater
• Approved proposed revisions to Board Policy AE (Local) on Educational Philosophy
• Approved the monthly Tax Office refunds

The Aldine ISD Board of Trustees met on July 30.

The August Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. in the Donaldson Administration Building’s board room.
