Aldine ISD Brings Technology to Gym
Disponible en:
With Aldine ISD starting a new school year, there comes with it new integrations. Over the summer, some Aldine ISD campuses were able to have a Lu Interactive Playground installed for their students. Ermel Elementary and Vines Primary are currently using these platforms to enhance their gym classes.
“The idea was to allow for an interactive learning environment,” said Executive Director of Security and A/V Services, Dwayne Muston, “while still having students learn through physical activity.”
Ermel was able to utilize a projector screen for additional instructional learning, while Vines had an Active Floor placed into their movement room. Not only have students been enjoying these upgrades, staff at both campuses have also expressed how the inclusion of this technology has enhanced their classrooms.
These improvements open up new opportunities for the classrooms to explore, and as the technology department rolls out technology upgrades, the goal is to implement them into more campuses. The first two campuses to implement this new technology are ADSY (Additional Days School Year) schools. The district will collect feedback from both campuses and look to target additional schools for technology upgrades.
Aldine ISD is committed to finding innovative ways to enhance learning opportunities in its classrooms. The implementation of this interactive technology is just one of the ways in which Aldine is accomplishing these goals.
