Aldine ISD Hosts 11th Annual Physical Education Demonstration Show

Aldine ISD brought energy, excitement, and a focus on student wellness to the M.O. Campbell Center on Monday night as the district hosted the 11th Annual Physical Education Demonstration Show.

The free event, held from 6 to 7 p.m., featured interactive activities and health vendors and drew approximately 200 attendees. A total of 60 students from five campuses — Vardeman Primary, Spence Elementary, Greenspoint Elementary, Reece Academy and Black Elementary — participated in the showcase. 

The annual event showcases the district’s dedication to physical education and student health, providing young learners with a chance to demonstrate the skills they have developed throughout the school year. Kenneth Hernandez, coordinator of health and physical education for Aldine ISD, emphasized that the showcase plays a vital role in building students’ self-belief while encouraging active lifestyles.

“Events like this are important for highlighting our young Aldine students and allowing them to gain confidence,” Hernandez said. “I love seeing the families come out to support the students, encouraging them to take pride in everything they do.” 

Throughout the evening, students performed coordinated routines and participated in activities designed to emphasize movement, teamwork and fitness. Families and community members filled the stands, cheering on participants and engaging with vendors focused on health and wellness.

The demonstration reflects a broader effort by Aldine ISD’s Physical Education and Health Department to foster lifelong healthy habits. The program serves students from prekindergarten through 12th grade, aiming to create engaging environments that encourage physical activity and overall well-being.

The event concluded with smiles across the arena, highlighting the positive impact of physical education programs on student development and community engagement.
