Eisenhower, Nimitz boys earn playoff berths

The Eisenhower Eagles and Nimitz Cougars both qualified for the Class 6A boys state basketball playoffs.

Eisenhower Basketball Team
The Eagles, under the direction of head coach James Johnson, will face The Woodlands on Monday, Feb. 18 at DeKaney High School in Spring. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. The Eagles, who won the District 16-6A title with a 13-1 record, will enter the game with a 26-6 record. In 2018, Eisenhower advanced to the Region II Tournament.

Nimitz Basketball Team
The Nimitz Cougars will face Klein Collins on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Klein Collins High School. Tip off is set for 7 p.m. The Cougars are under the direction of head coach Nathan Toon. The Cougars finished in second place in District 16-6A with a 10-4 league record and will enter their bi-district game against Klein Collins with a 16-14 season record.
