Reece Academy Celebrates Red Ribbon Week

Reece Academy culminated drug awareness week with a Red Ribbon Pep Rally held October 25th. The rally served as one of the many activities used to educate students to say “No!” to drugs. Every student also received a red ribbon from the Texas Military Forces Red Ribbon Campaign.

Every campus classroom attended the pep rally, which included performances by fellow classmates. Representatives from the Aldine ISD Police Department and the Houston Fire Department also participated while Dr. Todd Davis, AISD area superintendent of Eisenhower/Carver area schools, also stopped by the campus.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee served as the distinguished guest speaker of the event.

Sherrie Batro, principal of Reece Academy; Dalphne Harrison, Montessori teacher; and Brenda Brown, school counselor, coordinated the program. And a big thank you goes out to the entire staff in Fine Arts Department for providing the entertainment.
