Each year, the State of the District highlights accomplishments, shares strategic goals and initiatives met or achieved, and new plans for the future. Traditionally, the State of the District is an in-person event meant to cultivate strong business and community partnerships. It is a moment to share stories of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

Continuing to Accelerate Toward a Future Full of Choices and Opportunities

Each year, I am filled with pride and gratitude for the progress we continue to make together in Aldine ISD. As we reflect on the 2024–2025 school year, one thing remains clear: our students, staff, and community are writing a powerful #AldineStory.

This year marked the first full year of our current strategic plan, Accelerate, and the launch of our Portrait of a Graduate. These initiatives are more than guiding documents — they are blueprints for how we prepare every student to succeed in college, career, and life.

Our campuses have been the stage for remarkable progress in student achievement, as evidenced by the increasing number of students performing at or above grade level and more schools earning distinctions for growth. These results reflect the tireless dedication of our teachers and leaders who work tirelessly to educate and equip our students for success. From early childhood to advanced academics and career pathways, we are expanding high-quality learning experiences and ensuring families have access to choices and opportunities that match their children’s aspirations.

Our commitment extends beyond academics. Whether through new partnerships, modernized facilities like W.W. Thorne Stadium, or innovative programs such as the HEAL Academy and leadership pipelines for educators, Aldine ISD continues to move forward — together.
