Odom Elementary School Celebrates ‘Make A Difference Day’
Odom Elementary School students, staff members and community partners participated in Make a Difference Day, which is the largest national day of community service. Millions of volunteers around the world unite in a common mission to improve the lives of others.
The campus collected nonperishable food items to donate to Mission Greenspoint’s food pantry. The charity, located at 243 Greens Road, assists low-income individuals and families. Mission Greenspoint helps those living in the Aldine/Greenspoint area of north Houston. In addition to basic needs, Mission Greenspoint offers individuals assistance to improve job skills and assists those seeking employment as well as provides family services. Odom Elementary staff members Kimberley Christian, counselor, and Frank Cisneros, special education teacher, delivered the items to Executive Director Grady Butler and Cindy Butler, administrator, of Mission Greenspoint.
