Gray Elementary School Celebrates Annual Favorite Picture Book Contest

Gray Elementary School recently celebrated its third annual Favorite Picture Book Contest. Every grade level participated in the fun. To compete, students had to write a summary about their favorite picture book and had to provide the book’s title, author and illustrator. They then used their artistic talents by drawing a picture depicting their favorite book. Each grade level had a first, second, and third place winner with each winning prizes ranging from medals, certificates and extra book checkout passes.

“Everyone at Gray Elementary School is proud of all the contest participates,” stated Michelle Hovorka Oxner, information literacy specialist at the campus. “Gray Elementary Eagles are soaring with reading and writing!”
