Grantham Academy NJHS Students Tackle Hunger in Souper Bowl of Caring Drive

Every year, H-E-B partners with the Houston Food Bank to sell premade bags of groceries in their annual Souper Bowl of Caring Drive. The bags are sold to customers with 100% of the donated items going directly to feed the hungry.

This year Grantham Academy’s National Junior Honor Society partnered with Joey Haynes to help in the fight to combat hunger in the Houston community. Mr. Haynes is store director of the H-E-B store #308, 22618 Aldine Westfield.

The campus’ NJHS students collected $378 in cash donations from students and staff members as well as from folks in the local community.

Everyone who donated had their names added to Grantham Academy’s Souper Bowl of Caring Wall in the cafeteria of the school.
