Hambrick Middle School Students Help Pilgrim Place Resident Celebrate 100th Birthday

Hambrick Middle School students and staff helped Pilgrim Place resident celebrate her 100th birthday on February 7. While celebrating a holiday party for the residents at the assisted living facility for seniors in December, students and staff learned that While there, they learned about Ms. Iris Parton’s major upcoming milestone. In the week leading to Ms. Parton’s big day, students and staff members collected birthday gifts. After school on Feb. 7, several staff members and students walked to Pilgrim Place, which is near the campus, to give Ms. Parton a surprise party. The neighborhood Kroger donated a cake for Ms. Parton.
