Carver High Theater Student Receives Scholarship From Local Attorney

[icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]Carver High School theater arts student Amber Nicole Scott received a $4,000 scholarship from Attorney Oliver Brown.

Brown, a supporter of the Carver Theater Troupe, awarded Amber the scholarship for her success during her four years as a performing arts student.

Earlier this year, Amber Nicole appeared in [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]NBC’s “The Voice” advancing to the live rounds. In 2013, she was nominated for a [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]Tommy Tune Award in the Best Actress category for her role as Celie in Carver High’s production of the musical “The Color Purple.”

Brown recognized Amber Nicole during the dinner theater performance of the school’s production of “In The Heights” this spring.
