Volunteers Gather to Build KaBoom! Playground at Anderson Academy

Volunteers from Anderson Academy, corporate sponsor Latham & Watkins and the Anderson community celebrate following the ribbon cutting ceremony after the construction of a KaBoom! Playground at the Aldine ISD school.

More than 200 volunteers from Latham & Watkins, Anderson Academy and local residents joined forces on Saturday, April 5 to provide area children with a new playground.

The playground design was based on Anderson student’s drawings created at a special design event in January.

Prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony, volunteers were addressed by Lela Anderson, school namesake A.B. Anderson’s daughter, and Tim White and Robin Anderson, president and vice-president of the Acres Homes Super Neighborhood organization.
