Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee Energizes Students on Career Day Visit at Gray Elementary

U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee recently spent a part of her day talking to students. Mrs. Jackson Lee stopped by during Gray Elementary School’s Career Day.

The congresswoman spoke about President Barack Obama and her experiences in politics. She also spoke about her love for serving others.

Mrs. Jackson Lee also stressed how important it is to finish school and obtain a college degree.

According to Lori Wooley, principal at the campus, the students enjoyed talking to the congresswoman.

“She walked around engaging the students in conversation,” said Wooley. “She asked students what they wanted to be when they grew up and encouraged them to pursue their dreams. She also encouraged students to consider public service careers.”
