MacArthur Named Finalist for FootballScoop’s High School Video of the Year Award
FootballScoop recently announced that MacArthur High School is one of six finalists for the 2014 High School Video of the Year Award.
The other [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]five finalists include Aurora Central Catholic (IL), Bethlehem Catholic (PA), Bishop Gorman (NV), Perkiomen Valley (PA), and Shiloh Christian (AR). FootballScoop, a source for high school coaching positions, received submissions from all across the country.
A panel of celebrity judges will evaluate each finalist. The judges include:
[ul class=”list list-arrow_blue”] [li]Andy Staples, Senior writer for Sports Illustrated[/li] [li] Chris Brown, Editor of Smart Football, Grantland contributor & author of The Essential Smart Football[/li][/ul] [ul class=”list list-arrow_blue”] [li]Adam Kramer, Lead college football writer for Bleacher Report[/li] [li] Brian M. Floyd, Managing editor for SB Nation [/li][/ul] [ul class=”list list-arrow_blue”] [li]And a representative from the 2013 winner, Chaparral (Ariz.) High School[/li] [/ul]The winner will be announced early next week.
Andy Garza serves as athletic coordinator and head football coach at MacArthur High. Garza gave kudos to Kody Brinson for creating the video. Brinson serves as a social studies teacher and football offensive coordinator/recruiting coordinator at the campus. The video is spinoff of a Maserati 2014 Super Bowl commercial.
