Mustangs advance to Region III Tournament

The Aldine High soccer team is two games away from reaching the Class 6A State Tournament.

The Mustangs defeated Cy-Ridge 2-0 on Tuesday night to advance to the Region III Tournament. On Friday, Aldine will take on Deer Park in one of two semifinal games. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be played in Deer Park.

If the Mustangs defeat Deer Park,they will then face the winner of the Cinco Ranch-Elsik game in the Region III title game on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. That game will also be played at Deer Park. The winner of the Region III title game will advance to the Class 6A State Tournament, set for April 17-18 in Austin.
