Aldine High School Spelling Team Wins 1st Place at UIL District Academic Meet

The Spelling Team from Aldine High School shined at the District 18-6A UIL Academic Meet. The students brought home a first place win in the Team Category. This is the third consecutive year that Aldine High School has captured first place in competition.

The District 18-6A Academic Meet took place at MacArthur High School on April 11. Eisenhower High School came in second.

Leading the way for Aldine Mustangs were Annaís Tierrablanca, Jahaira Reynaga and Jamarcus Wilson. They beat out 18 other competitors. The team is coached by Bradley Schneider.

Individual Overall Results

4th Place — Annaís Tierrablanca
5th Place — Jahaira Reynaga
6th Place — Jamarcus Wilson

The Aldine High School team will advance to the regional competition set for Saturday, April 25 at Cypress Woods High School.
