Word Church, Congressman Gene Green to hold back to school event Aug. 8 at MOC

The Word Church in partnership with The Fulfillment Project and U.S. Congressman Gene Green will hold its annual Back-2-School Jamboree on Saturday, Aug. 8 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the M.O. Campbell Educational Center (1865 Aldine Bender).

This event is free to the public and families are invited to attend for an awesome day of fun to help kids get prepared to go back to school. Kids will enjoy a meet and greet with Ronald McDonald, kids painting, snacks, health screenings, give-aways and school supplies.

There will also be entertainment, free groceries for each family (while supplies last), medical services and city/community resources for children and adults.
