Home Depot Volunteers Beautify Conley Elementary School for Start of the School Year
Volunteers from a local Home Depot store came together to beautify Conley Elementary School just in time for the first day of school.
Manager Amanda Stankevitz from the store located on 249 and about 20 Team Depot volunteers descended on the campus. They came ready with resources in tow. Over a period of two days, they worked on green areas and built gardens. They also painted the gym floor, and made needed repairs and touch-ups around the school.
The Conley Elementary School administrative team as well as Jasmine Chin and Kai Chin from Carver High School also volunteered their time. as well as the administrative team at Conley.
This formed part of Home Depot’s mission to build meaningful relationships in the community.
LaDon Ward appreciates what Home Depot did for the campus.
“The school environment has to be welcoming and inviting,” Ward said. “The volunteers made a difference. I know everyone at Conley is grateful. It takes the entire community to help a school become successful. I thank Home Depot and all the volunteers for coming out. It’s nice to have that support.”
