2 AISD Students Win “Choice Awards” in Houston World Series of Dog Shows

[dropcap color=”#888″ type=”square”]I[/dropcap]t is no secret that Aldine ISD has many talented students. Once again, students earned recognition. Students took part in the [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]Houston World Series of Dogs Shows. Two AISD students received the judging committee’s “Choice Awards.”
The Dr. Mari Jon Filla Student Art Exhibit Contest exhibited a total of 976 entries from the Houston area. The exhibit took place at NRG Park July 15-19.

Student: Jaxson Johnson, Grade 1
Campus: Anderson Academy

Teacher: Kelley Patterson
Dr. Michaelann Kelley shared that AISD students had a great showing. Many students earned blue, red, and white ribbons. Kelley is the program director of fine arts.
AISD is showcasing the contest award recipients at the [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]Aldine Staff Development Center (2330 S. Victory St.). The Choice Award pieces along with the blue and red ribbon entries are on display. Individuals can view the artwork during the fall semester.
