Nimitz High School FCCLA Students Advance to Nationals
The organization provides personal growth, leadership development and career preparation.

[dropcap color=”#888″ type=”square”]F[/dropcap]amily, Career and Community Leaders of America students competed in the State Conference. The competition was held April 7-8 in Dallas.
Students competed in STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Events. Two Nimitz High School seniors placed in the top three in their respective categories.

The state conference and STAR Events give members a chance to network with peers. They also attend workshops and leadership sessions.
Jesua and Leslie advance to compete against peers across the country. The [icons icon_name=”icon-external-link” icon_size=”14px”]FCCLA National Conference is set for July 2-8 in San Diego, CA.
Angelique Sánchez and Helen Hayes will accompany the students to the national contest. Sánchez is the students’ fashion design teacher. Hayes is the family and consumer science instructor and FCCLA chapter sponsor.
