Aldine Noon Optimist Club donates 200 backpacks to Aldine ISD

The Aldine Noon Optimist Club recently donated 200 backpacks to Aldine ISD. The backpacks will be distributed to elementary students in Aldine ISD to help them prepare for the 2016-17 school year, which begins on Monday, Aug. 22.

On hand to accept the backpacks were Efrain Uribe, left, the district’s program director of elementary/intermediate guidance, counseling and at-risk students, and Silvia Reyes, second from right, the district’s program director of secondary guidance, counseling and at-risk students. On hand representing the Optimist Club were Susan Zipperer, Stacey Smith and Henry Vogel.
