Aldine ISD will hold a school board election for Positions 1, 2, 6 and 7. The election will be held on Tuesday, November 5. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on election day.

In the Position 1 race, Randy Bates, Jamail Johnson, Steve Moore, and Jimmy Edward Morales will contend for the seat. Patricia Ann Bourgeois currently holds the Position 1 seat, but will not seek re-election.

Paul Shanklin holds the Position 2 seat. He is running unopposed for the Position 2 seat.

Dr. Kimberley N. Booker holds the Position 6 seat. Danny J. Spears and Rickey Tezino will join Dr. Booker in the Position 6 race.

Dr. Viola M. García holds the Position 7 seat. Terkara Cormier and Nico S. Matthews will join Dr. García in the Position 7 race.

Early voting will take place from Oct. 21 to Nov. 1 at any polling place in Harris County. Voters may apply for a ballot by mail between now and Oct. 25 (applications must be received, not postmarked). To apply for a ballot by mail, visit or call (713) 755-4983. Ballot by mail applications can also be picked up at any public library. Harris County will provide polling place locations prior to the election. Locations will be listed on the county’s website and in the Houston Chronicle prior to the election.
