AISD Seeking Community Input for 2020-21 Academic Calendar

Aldine ISD is seeking input from the community as it begins the design process for the 2020-2021 Academic Calendar.

A short survey has been developed to allow parents, students, employees, district leaders, and Aldine ISD community members to prioritize the things they would like to see in next year’s academic calendar.

“We’d like to get feedback throughout the process including asking employees and staff to share their priorities and wishes,” said Sheleah Reed, chief communications officer. “We know that to develop a calendar that makes the best use of instructional time while ensuring that staff receives adequate professional development, we will need to be creative. That feedback will help us prioritize the desires of the community in the calendar.”

The survey will be open Saturday, Nov. 16 through Friday, Nov. 22. Once closed the results will be shared with the calendar committee who will help to design two calendar options that will ultimately be presented to the community for review.

The final calendar will be presented to the Aldine ISD Board of Trustees for approval in February.
