Hundreds of Aldine ISD second-graders were awarded bicycles for achieving their reading goals for the fall semester. In partnership with CYCLE (Changing Young Children’s Lives through Education) Houston,  Aldine ISD teachers worked to create personalized literacy goals to increase student reading skills. This program helps students achieve grade-level reading and encourages them to read. Each student participating in the program received a new bicycle and a helmet for meeting their reading goals.
