School District Launches Online ‘Crisis Preparedness’ Parent and Staff Surveys

The Aldine Independent School District strives to offer all students high-quality educational programs and equip them with the skills to achieve success in school, career, and life while providing safe learning environments. To continue to fulfill our vision and mission, AISD needs to hear from parents and legal guardians about how to best support your children.

“Our partnership with our families is more important than ever before in these unprecedented times we are living through,” said Superintendent Dr. LaTonya M. Goffney. “Thank you for partnering with us to provide students with the best possible education. We continue to need to hear from you. Let us know what we could improve to make meaningful changes. Please take the survey and help us as we plan for the future.”

The survey’s questions address the overall satisfaction with Aldine’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, district and school communication and support, technology access and resources, distance learning, and student support. Results will help the district identify its strengths and develop a targeted action plan for the future.

The survey launches Wednesday, May 13, at 3 p.m. Parents and legal guardians with a current email address on file with the district will be sent a personal invitation and survey link. Parents can also take the survey at https://bit.ly/2WptqvN. The survey can be taken on any computer, tablet, or smartphone. District staff will also receive a survey link invitation through their Aldine ISD email address.

The survey is offered in English and Spanish; the deadline to take part is June 3. The district will share the results later this summer.

Aldine ISD has partnered with independent research and communications firm K12 Insight to administer the survey and compile the results. No one in the district or a child’s school will know if a parent or a legal guardian took part or how you responded to questions.
