Aldine ISD Releases Bus Stop Information for Start Return to School

Aldine ISD will begin transporting students who have elected to return to in-person school on Monday, Sept. 21.

The Transportation Department has provided the times for students in different grade levels to be at their bus stops.

Students should be at their bus stops at times listed below during the first week of school. Bus drivers will communicate a more accurate time as the weeks continue.

Bus Transportation Pick-up Times for Traditional Schools

• High schools and ninth grade schools (9-12) — 5:45 a.m.
• Elementary schools (1-5) — 6:35 a.m.
• Primary schools (PreK-K) — 6:45 a.m.
• Middle Schools (6-8) — 7:15 a.m.

Bus Transportation Pick-up Times for Non-Traditional Campuses

• AEC – 5:15 a.m.
• Highpoint – 5:45 a.m.
• Blanson CTE/Avalos/Eisenhower Ninth Magnet – 5:15 a.m.
• Hall Center for Education – 6:30 a.m.
• Kujawa Primary, Kujawa Elementary, Carter Academy and Carmichael Elementary – 5:15 a.m. (School Magnet Students); 6:35 a.m. (Students Zoned to These Schools)
• Shotwell Middle School – 6:36 a.m. (Magnet Students); 7:15 a.m. (Zoned Students)
• Carver High School, Drew Middle School, Houston Academy, Victory Early College High School – 5:15 a.m. (Magnet Students); 5:45 a.m. (Zoned Students)
• Reece Academy and Anderson Academy – 7 a.m. (Magnet); 7:15 a.m. (Zoned)

For special needs transportation, campuses will have route information provided on Sept. 15. Drivers will contact parents on Sept. 16-17.

Additionally, the Transportation Department will make the Here Comes the Bus App available to parents. Information and download instructions are available on the Transportation Department website. The app is a resource that can assist families, but the Transportation Department requests that students be at their bus stop at the designated times and not rely on the app. Some circumstances will prevent the app from being accurate some of the time.

Parents of students who have opted for face-to-face instruction but are not returning to campus as of yet should consider turning off the apps’ notifications until their child returns to school.
