2 Blanson Career and Technical Education High Schools Students’ Artworks Selected for State Youth Art Month Exhibition


Joshua Longoria and Anthont Tran’s artworks have been selected to be part of the 2023 Texas Art Education’s Youth Art Month Exhibition. Both students are fro Blanson CTE High School.

This exhibit showcases prekindergarten through 12th-grade works of art from across Texas. Student art from around the state will be exhibited at the Bullock Texas State History Museum during March, and the exhibit will be featured on their website.

Visiting the Exhibition in March 2023

The Museum is at 1800 Congress Ave, Austin, TX, 78701. The Museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Youth Art Month exhibit will be displayed from February 27 through March 31, 2023.

When students arrive at the Museum, they should check in at the Ticketing Counter to receive complimentary admission for themselves and their families to the Youth Art Month exhibit on display on the 3rd floor Austin Room. To explore the rest of the Museum, visitors should purchase exhibition tickets for the adults (students will be complimentary). There may be a few days that the exhibit will not be available for view; we suggest emailing [email protected] when planning the trip to the Bullock Museum to check on the dates to ensure it will be available on the day and time of the visit.

Awards Ceremony

The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, March 12. The award ceremony will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Exhibition admission to the Youth Art Month exhibit. The rest of the Bullock Museum exhibits will be complimentary for the students, their families, and their teacher/district representative on Sunday, March 12, 2023.

The Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) sponsors the exhibit in celebration of National Youth Art Month.
