Aldine ISD Launches New Online Consent Forms Following SB 12: Your Action is Required

As a result of the 2025 Legislative Session, Texas public school districts are now required to obtain annual parental consent before students can receive certain school-based services or participate in clubs and organizations.

These forms allow families to approve or decline their child’s participation in:

  • Routine health services (such as first aid, vision and hearing screenings, and short-term counseling support)
  • Routine counseling services are provided as part of the district’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program
  • School-sponsored clubs and organizations, including academic, fine arts, service, and leadership groups

Rest assured, some essential services, such as first aid during illness, injury evaluation, or emergency care, will continue to be provided regardless of consent. Your child’s safety and well-being are our top priority.

Aldine ISD has made the process to complete the forms easy and accessible. Families should have received an email on Friday, September 5, regarding the Senate Bill (SB) 12 forms they need to complete. For a parent or legal guardian to complete these forms, they will need the following:
