Aldine ISD Celebrates Black History Month 2026

This February, Aldine ISD will join communities across the nation in celebrating Black History Month 2026, a milestone year marking 100 years since the establishment of Black History Week by historian and scholar Dr. Carter G. Woodson.

This year’s theme, “A Century of Black History Commemorations,” honors the legacy, resilience and excellence of Black individuals whose contributions have shaped the nation’s history and continue to inspire future generations within the Aldine community.

Throughout the month, campuses and departments across the district will highlight Black history, culture and achievement through educational activities, celebrations and community engagement opportunities.

Aldine ISD invites students, staff, parents and community members to join in recognizing this historic milestone and participating in events taking place throughout the district.
