Aldine ISD Earns Highest State Financial Accountability Rating for 25th Consecutive Year

Aldine ISD has earned a score of 96 and a “Superior Achievement” rating — the highest rating attainable through the Texas Education Agency’s School FIRST financial accountability system — for the 25th consecutive year.

The 2025–2026 School FIRST ratings, based on 2024–25 financial data, recognize Aldine ISD for its strong financial management, responsible stewardship of public funds, and compliance with state financial guidelines.

“Aldine ISD’s Superior Achievement rating reflects our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of fiscal integrity and responsible stewardship of public funds,” said Chief Financial Officer Timothy Momanyi. “Earning a score of 96 demonstrates the district’s continued focus on sound financial practices, transparency, and accountability.”

The School FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) is the state’s financial accountability system for public school districts and charter schools. The system evaluates districts on financial management and efficiency and assigns ratings ranging from Superior Achievement to Substandard Achievement.

The School FIRST rating is one of several measures of Aldine ISD’s commitment to using public resources responsibly while supporting the district’s mission of providing students with opportunities to succeed.
