Aldine ISD to Offer Virtual Summer STEM Enrichment Camps for All Students in Grades 1-5; Registration is Open

Disponible en: Español

Registration is now open for families to register their children in Grades 1-5 for the virtual Summer STEM Camp experience.

The Aldine ISD STEM Camp is a virtual summer enrichment that provides elementary students with a positive, fun-filled STEM learning experience. The camp aligns with the district’s strategic plan priorities to give the students access to high-quality learning experiences. While the goal is to learn, AISD hopes to inspire and motivate our students to pursue their interests in science, technology, engineering, and math. Students registered for the STEM camp will experience interactive and engaging activities, participate in live events with community partners and learn from special guests.

Who Can Participate?

The Virtual Summer STEM Camp targets students who did not receive an invitation to attend the summer learning experiences, which focuses on young learners who need additional learning support. The STEM Camp is an opportunity for those students to learn and explore over the summer.

The Virtual Summer STEM Enrichment Camp Experience

  • June 6-30, 2022
  • Live Learning Events: Students will have access to live learning opportunities with community partners.
  • Virtual Field Trips: Students will travel beyond their classrooms and home to engage and explore different places locally and out of state.
  • At-home STEM activities (hands-on): Students will work on various STEM activities to choose from daily to complete and reflect on.
  • Career Exploration in STEM Fields: Students will engage with different people with different backgrounds to learn about STEM careers as well as to inspire and motivate their interest to pursue STEM careers later in life.

Long-lasting Impact

The experiences will have a long-lasting impact on students. While students have fun learning, they will continue to develop skills employers and colleges desire. These skills include creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, innovation, and systematic problem-solving.

Registration Required! No Deadline!

There is no deadline to register. Students can register at any point during the Summer STEM Camp period, June 6-June 30. Register your child by visiting AldineISD.org/esSTEMcamp.
