Aldine ISD students in grades 3-12 performed phenomenal speeches during the district’s 3rd annual Black History Oratory Competition. The competition brought together some of the most talented orators from the district to showcase their skills and pay tribute to the resilience of African Americans throughout history, and how resilience has made them the person they are today.
The competition was fierce, with each participant delivering a powerful speech that highlighted the struggles and triumphs of African Americans. However, in the end, there could only be a few winners.
Once campus winners were determined district judges selected first, second, and third place winners from each grade level. Three first-place winners (Elementary, Middle, and Ninth Grade and High School) were named 2023 Aldine ISD Black History Oratory winners. The winners will receive a trophy and will be honored at the March School Board meeting.
The 3rd Annual Black History Oratory Competition was a testament to the resilience and strength of the African American community. Through their words and their passion, the participants showed that the legacy of African Americans will continue to inspire and motivate generations to come.
Congratulations to our District-Level Black History Oratory Competition Winners!
