Nimitz football vs Morton Ranch 08-30-2025
Some photos from the Nimitz Cougars’ 29-27, two-overtime victory over Morton Ranch at Rhodes Stadium in Katy late Saturday night. Senior quarterback Albert Brown led a long come-from-behind drive and scored the game-tying touchdown late in the fourth quarter, then fired a long pass to senior receiver Malachi Augustus in the back of the end zone to put the Cougars ahead in the second overtime. Morton Ranch scored a touchdown on its first play of the second OT, but the Cougars defense stopped the Mavericks’ two-point attempt to secure the win. Nimitz (1-0) is scheduled to play its first home game at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, in Aldine ISD’s W.W. Thorne Stadium.
