Astros Foundation unveils 2026 World Baseball Classic Legacy Project at Eisenhower HS baseball field 03-12-2026

Some photos from the unveiling of the 2026 World Baseball Classic Legacy Project at the Eisenhower High School baseball field on Thursday afternoon, March 12, 2026. The Houston Astros, the Astros Foundation and the World Baseball Classic, Inc., partnered to enhance the Ike field with upgraded dugouts, windscreens, new batting cages with nets and turf, a dedicated hitting development area, a new pitching machine, and screens for training. Speakers at the event included Aldine ISD Executive Director of Athletics Dre’ Thompson; Astros Foundation Executive Director Emelda Douglas; and three representatives from the Major League Baseball Commissioner’s Ambassador Program: Chris Young, Michael Bourn and Scott Kazmir. #AldineStory
