District to distribute water to families on Monday, February 22.
The Halliburton Charitable Foundation, Representative Armando Walle, Harris County Sheriff Ed González, the Honorable Judge Joe Stephens, the Buckner Family Hope Center-Aldine, the City of Houston, Amazon, Joseph House Community Outreach Center, and Victory Outreach of Houston have partnered with the Aldine Independent School District to provide relief for Aldine community families. The foundation has donated $10,000 to the Aldine Education Foundation to use toward relief efforts.
Abel Garza, assistant superintendent of government affairs and constituent services for Aldine ISD, is currently working with partners. The first planned event will occur on Monday, February 22, at Aldine High School (11101 Airline Drive • Houston, TX 77037). Volunteers starting at noon will be handing out free bottled water while supplies last.
Families can drive up to the front of the school. Family and Community Engagement volunteers will bring the water donation to the vehicle. Aldine ISD encourages everyone to wear a mask to reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus.
