Aldine Alumni Allstars Donate School Supplies

The Aldine Alumni Allstars, a new nonprofit organization committed to benefiting students in Aldine ISD, recently donated more than $4,000 in school supplies to various schools in the district.

The group held its first-ever community fundraising event at American Legion Post 578. The group was founded by MacArthur High School graduates Joey DeCloutte and Lisa Orso. Members include Patricia Hernández, Dianna Guerra, Eddie Carranza, Pearl Martínez, Donte Burks, Chavella Burks, Kari Ábalos, Darlene García, Rene García and Cyndi Guzmán-Flores.

Pictured with the school supplies are a group of second grade students at Oleson Elementary, which was one of the schools to benefit, along with Principal Lupe Muñoz.
