Aldine Optimist Club Donates Bikes to AISD Schools

The Aldine Noon Optimist Club recently donated bicycles to nine Aldine ISD schools as part of a motivational program to encourage reading in schools. The Optimist Club received a grant from the East Aldine Management District and used the funds to purchase 18 bicycles.

Each of the nine schools received two bikes and principals and staff members accepted the bikes during the Optimist Club’s meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

The schools that received the bikes were Calvert Elementary School, Francis Elementary School, Johnson Elementary School, Mendel Elementary School, Oleson Elementary School, Orange Grove Elementary School, Raymond Elementary School, Stephens Elementary School and Worsham Elementary School.
