Date Set for Annual Turkey Trot

The 30th annual Aldine ISD Turkey Trot will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Lone Star College-North Harris (2700 W.W. Thorne Drive).

Participants can register at any Aldine ISD school. Participants can also register the day of the race beginning at 7:15 a.m. The following are the registration fees:

  • Early Registration — $10 for adults and $7 for students
  • Race-day Registration — $12 for adults and $9 for students
  • Pet Fee — $5 entry (this will include a bandanna for runners’/walkers’ pets)

The action will begin at 7:45 a.m. with the three-mile run, which will be followed by the Lil’ Chicks 1-mile race. The power walk will start at approximately 8:20 a.m.

All runners and walkers who preregister will receive a race-day T-shirt. Additionally, all finishers will earn an award and a team award will be presented to the school with the most participants. A minimum of eight frozen turkeys will also be distributed via a random drawing. Only preregistered participants will be eligible for the turkey drawing. Aldine ISD registrants will receive their T-shirts at their respective campuses during the week of Oct. 29. Participants who are not affiliated with an AISD school will receive their T-shirts the morning of the race or they can be picked up at the M.O. Campbell Educational Center (located at 1865 Aldine Bender; Room 106) Nov. 5-6.
