Keeble EC/PK Hosts Storybook Pumpkin Contest
Disponible en:
The students at Keeble EC/PK Center all participated in the Storybook Pumpkin Contest. The children along with their parents had to choose a favorite storybook and exemplify the story or a main character to decorate without puncturing or cutting a real pumpkin. They could choose as many pumpkins as they needed, but they had to keep the storybook theme. All of the decorated pumpkins are on display at the school.
A total of 920 three-, four-, and five-year-old students competed for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The winners received a free backpack, books, a certificate with a picture of their beautifully decorated pumpkin and themselves.
Teachers also had their classrooms take part in decorating their favorite storybook for the Classroom Pumpkin Contest, which had the same rules as the individual student contest. Classrooms that won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place earned a big certificate to display on their classroom window and each participating child received a certificate. Additionally, the winning classrooms received a popcorn or pizza party and watched a storybook film.
