Anna Ford, a sixth grade student at Wilson Intermediate School, has been accepted to join the People to People Student Ambassador Program this summer. She will be traveling to Canada for twelve days in June. While in Canada, she will explore the wonders of the Canadian West. The itinerary includes meeting tribal members, visiting British Columbia’s Parliament in Victoria, the Canadian Rockies, and Canada’s world-famous dinosaur museum, the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology, in Drumheller, Alberta.

The People to People Student Ambassador Program is designed to increase students’ global awareness. Students who apply have a desire to traveling internationally, increase their global awareness, experience different cultures, participate in local customs, and challenging themselves to learn through doing.

Wilson Intermediate School offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP). The IB program encourages international and cultural awareness to develop citizens of the world.
