Three AISD soccer teams earn playoff berths

Three Aldine ISD soccer teams will begin play in the Class 5A state playoffs on Thursday, March 28.
The MacArthur High Lady Generals, under the direction of head coach Erika Rodriguez, finished third in District 18-5A and will face Cy-Ranch on Thursday at Thorne Stadium. The game will begin at 6:30 p.m. The Lady Generals finished 6-3-1 in league play and will carry a 7-5-3 season record into the game. Cy-Ranch placed third in District 17-5A and will bring a 7-4-5 season record into the bi-district contest.

The Nimitz High Cougars, under the direction of head coach Salvador Fernandez, finished third in District 18-5A and will face Langham Creek on Thursday at the Tomball High School Complex. The game will begin at 7 p.m. The Cougars finished 6-4-1 in league play and will carry a 12-5-2 season record into their bi-district encounter against 21-1-2 Langham Creek.

The MacArthur High Generals, under the direction of head coach Justo Manrique, finished fourth in District 18-5A. They will face Cy-Lakes on Thursday at Cy-Fair High School. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. The Generals finished with a 3-2-1 district record and will carry a 7-4-1 season record into their bi-district encounter with 11-5-1 Cy-Lakes.
