Galindo Honored With SHABE Award

SHABE (Suburban Houston Association for Bilingual Education) recently honored María Isabel Galindo, principal of Keeble EC/PK Center, with the Diana García-Marion Award during the organization’s annual banquet. The award is presented to individuals for their outstanding service to bilingual and ESL education. SHABE was founded to support teachers, paraprofessional and administrators as they educate students whose native language is not English. The Association serves to review and disseminate the state of bilingual education in Texas. Additionally, SHABE members exchange data, studies, ideas, practices, and information with area school districts and educators.
