Aldine ISD Celebrates National Police Week

Aldine ISD and local businesses helped celebrate National Police Week. On May 16, the Aldine Police Department held a cookout with donations provided by Caraway Intermediate School, Johnson Elementary School, Stephens Elementary School, Carol Academy, Worsham Elementary School, Thompson Elementary School, Black Elementary School, Hambrick Middle School, and Goodman Elementary School. Local businesses such as Grimes Bakery, Sam’s Club and Kroger also made donations for the cookout.

Since 1962, National Police Week, which is held during the calendar week of May 15, pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.
