Eisenhower High Student Creates Peach Orchard for Kujawa Elementary School

Thanks to the efforts of Edmond Arroyo, Kujawa Elementary School now has a peach orchard. Arroyo, a senior and Explorer Scout from Eisenhower High School, organized efforts to plant 19 peach trees at the elementary campus. To ensure everyone could enjoy a stroll when the peach trees blossom, he also created a mulch walkway.

Arroyo, his parents and his work crew arrived early to work on the project Saturday, May 25. His mother even brought homemade lentil soup for the workers. Because of Edmond’s planning and the large turnout of volunteers, the project was completed by noon, which was well ahead of schedule.

Everyone at Kujawa Elementary School is very appreciative of Edmond’s desire to add to the campus’ garden, and the work that went into implementing such fantastic project. He and the volunteers he helped organize have left an imprint on the students of Kujawa Elementary.

Arroyo promised that he would visit the campus in the future to check on his project.
