Ike High’s Nguyen Named Top Scholar-Athlete by Touchdown Club of Houston

Eisenhower High School senior swimmer Som-Mai Nguyen was named the top scholar-athlete in her sport by the Touchdown Club of Houston during its annual Scholar-Athlete Awards ceremony, held May 22 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel.

Nguyen, shown with the plaque she received, is pictured with (l-r): Eisenhower counselor Chu Branch, Som-Mai’s father Don Nguyen, Eisenhower social studies teacher/faculty athletic advisor Amber McMunn, Aldine ISD director of athletics Richard Delgado, and Eisenhower Vertical area superintendent Todd Davis.

Som-Mai will either attend Rice University or Stanford University.
