AISD’s Kathleen Flores Named Region 4 Elementary Teacher of the Year finalist

Aldine ISD teacher Kathleen Flores has been selected as a Region 4 Elementary Teacher of the Year finalist. Flores is one of five finalists from the Greater Houston area who have been selected for this prestigious honor.

Flores, an ESL (English as a Second Language) prekindergarten teacher at Hinojosa EC/PK Center, was named AISD’s Elementary/Intermediate Teacher of the Year at the district’s Teacher of the Year Breakfast, held in March.

Flores will be interviewed by a panel on July 22 and the overall winner will be announced at the Region 4 Teacher of the Year Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Aug. 7 at the Westin Galleria.
The Region 4 winner will then compete for Texas Elementary/Intermediate Teacher of the Year honors.
